Producer Bhushan Kumar Confirms Animal Park Production Start After Spirit Wraps Up, Promises Exciting Sequel
Producer Bhushan Kumar has officially confirmed that the production of Animal Park, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Animal, will begin within six months of the completion of the Telugu film Spirit, which director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently working on with Prabhas. The announcement came during a recent media interaction, where Kumar revealed the new timeline for Animal Park’s production, much earlier than what was initially expected.
Although Vanga had hinted earlier that filming for Animal Park would not begin until 2026, Kumar’s latest statement suggests that the sequel’s production will kick off sooner. “There will be a six-month gap after Spirit, and then immediately, we’ll start Animal Park,” said Kumar, confirming that the long wait for the next installment of the Animal franchise will be shorter than anticipated.

The sequel to Animal has generated significant excitement, especially after the first film ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story. The announcement of Animal Park was made with a dramatic, gory sequence that set the tone for the film, confirming that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing a double role in the highly anticipated follow-up. Along with Kapoor, other key cast members, including Triptii Dimri, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Mansi Taxak, will reprise their roles in the sequel.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has teased that Animal Park will be even “darker and meaner” than its predecessor, which already gained attention for its intense violence and gripping storytelling. Vanga’s promise of a more intense narrative has only fueled the anticipation surrounding the film, as fans are eager to see how the story unfolds.
In an earlier interview with Netflix India, Ranbir Kapoor shared his excitement about returning to his role in Animal Park, revealing that Vanga had already narrated some scenes from the sequel to him. Kapoor expressed how the scenes intrigued him and heightened his anticipation for the project. “I’m thrilled to be a part of Animal Park and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds on screen,” Kapoor said.
Apart from Animal Park, Ranbir Kapoor has a number of other exciting projects in the pipeline, which are generating a significant amount of buzz in the film industry. One of his most talked-about upcoming films is Ramayan, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, in which Kapoor plays Lord Ram. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, and it will be released in two parts. The makers have promised a grand spectacle, and Kapoor’s portrayal of the iconic character is highly anticipated by fans.
Additionally, Kapoor is set to reunite with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love and War, a film that marks their collaboration 17 years after their first venture together, Saawariya. Love and War is another much-awaited project that will see Kapoor sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. This film is expected to be a visual extravaganza, and fans are eagerly awaiting the reunion of Kapoor and Bhansali, whose first collaboration brought them both significant recognition.
As the production timeline for Animal Park draws closer, fans are buzzing with excitement for the next chapter in the Animal saga. With a talented cast, a dark and thrilling storyline, and the promise of intense drama, Animal Park is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated films in the coming years.
