Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday mocked the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra, describing it as a “vehicle with neither wheels nor brakes.” Addressing a rally in Dhule district as part of the BJP’s campaign for the November 20 state assembly elections, Modi pointed out the constant infighting within the alliance, with everyone fighting for the driver’s seat. He said, “The vehicle of the Maha Aghadi has neither wheels nor brakes, and there is constant squabbling over the driver’s seat. From all directions, different voices and horns are blaring.”

Modi emphasized that only the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance could ensure the rapid development of Maharashtra, reiterating the BJP’s commitment to the state’s progress. “We consider people as another form of God, but some individuals are in politics only to loot the public. I assure you that the momentum of Maharashtra’s development over the past two-and-a-half years will continue,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister also criticized the policies of former leaders like Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi, claiming that their decisions, particularly on anti-reservation measures, harmed OBC and tribal communities.
